Community Outreach Pro I – Community Engagement and Education Coordinator (DE)

Community Outreach Pro I position will develop, deliver and administer educational and community programs for external audience by offering education using nutrition and garden curricula in a variety of settings. This position supports interventions designed to change Policy Systems and Environment at schools and community settings for individuals--youth, adults, seniors--families and organizations. By engaging community key players as a principle liaison between community and department, like community members, businesses, groups and organizations this position helps identify appropriate program services and interventions that will help sustain a healthy community. Applicants would benefit from understanding Trauma-Informed Principles, Health Equity and community engagement and from having experience working in communities with low access to resources and with diverse population.

Community Outreach Pro I – Food Access Coordinator South Phoenix

The Community Outreach Professional I position will work in the South Phoenix Phoenix area. This position will work with community residents and partners to develop and deliver food access strategies that promote Policy Systems and Environmental change at community settings and schools. This would include supporting no-cost food programs like food pantries/summer food service program and food retail like convenience stores/farmer's markets. Applicants would benefit from understanding Trauma-Informed Principles, Health Equity and community engagement and from having experience working with diverse populations that have low access to food resources.

Community Outreach Pro I – Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian (SRPMIC) Community Coordinator

The Community Outreach Professional I position will work in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC). This position will work with community residents and partners to develop and deliver food access, active living and direct education strategies that promote Policy, Systems and Environmental changes at community, school and after-school settings. Applicants would benefit from lived or work experience with Native American or American Indian communities. They would also benefit from understanding Trauma-Informed Principles, Health Equity and community engagement.

Community Outreach Pro II – South Phoenix Community Supervisor and Childhood Lead

The Community Outreach Professional II position is a cross-functional lead with a triple role: 1) Supervise team and plan program activities in the South Phoenix area; 2) Lead and offer guidance to the Childhood Systems team (schools and after school programs) and 3) Work directly with the community to implement program strategies related to Childhood Systems. Among others, these strategies include community engagement, supporting Local Wellness Policy, establishing wellness committees, providing staff development, implementing school gardens and local food procurement, and improving physical activity and nutrition practices at schools and after school programs. Applicants would benefit from understanding Trauma-Informed Principles, Health Equity, and community engagement and from having experience supervising and working with diverse populations that have low access to resources.
