Our mission is to help individuals in our communities lead healthier lives! We promote healthy eating and physically active lifestyles by providing free services to people who are eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Our program serves SNAP (food stamps) recipients and individuals eligible to receive other means-tested Federal assistance. Schools, community housing sites, church groups, clubs, city parks, recreation centers and other sites that serve these individuals may also qualify.

The University of Arizona Nutrition Network (UANN) – Maricopa is part of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the Cooperative Extension in Maricopa County. We provide education and resources, consistent with the current Dietary Guidelines for Americans and MyPlate, to persons eligible for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Our Mission is to positively influence nutrition and physical activity behaviors of Maricopa County youth, families, and adults, and our Vision is healthier individuals and families in our communities!
